Alex took on the best player that every team had to offer, and competed every single point, win or lose. What a great experience! He has great shot-making ability, drive, and is one of the few kids that actually feels more and more comfortable the closer he gets to the net! Great job Alex!

Jazelia went undefeated at #2 singles. She has a smooth forehand that can handle pace and deliver. A crafty backhand that can change spins, direction, and open up the court with angles. She possesses the rare ability to play even bigger on big points. Watch out for her! She'll be on the USTA's radar very very shortly.

One of my personal favorite players all-time! Varun wears his passion for the game on his sleeves... He has a dynamic serve... And he absolutely loves his forehand. Varun brings enough energy to get the whole team going!
#2 Doubles
Shaurya went 2-1 in doubles, and 1-0 in singles at sectionals. He's an extremely competitive player, that's never afraid to take the big shot. He's a great teammate, and is always up for the challenge.

Trishaan reminds me A LOT of... me. Leading up to a match, he's quiet, respectful, very solemn. But his competitiveness is obvious the moment he steps on the court and hits the first ball. He has an amazing loyalty to his teammates. And isn't afraid to let loose at the player's party!

Scalett went 3-1 in doubles at Sectionals this season, with a very close 4-6 loss to the eventual finalists. At #2 doubles, she may have the most technically-sound forehand and backhand on the team! Add that to a very aggressive net game, and she's a tennis monster in-the-making!
Last year in 2023, the 10u Advanced Control Beasts played every match at Indian Wells Tennis Garden, and made it all the way to the finals! And this year, with 0 returning players from the previous team, the new Squad almost made it all the way to the finals again! Going 2-0 on day -1, until eventually taking a close loss to the eventual finalists on day-2, finishing the tournament 3-1. Tallying 84 total games, they finished in 2nd place in their flight, and 3rd OVERALL! In junior team tennis, every game matters, regardless of what position they're playing, and all 6 players took full advantage of their opportunities.
Great job everybody! And a special thank you to all of the parents for making the sacrifices it took to give your kids the opportunity to compete in a competitive, team setting. In an individual sport, JTT gives the utmost team-friendly atmosphere in tennis. Thank you everybody for participating. I've been running Control Beast teams since before my own kids were born, and I wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't such a great thing for the kids to look back on. Thank you everybody!
A big special thank you to my amazingly beautiful wife, Coach Jae. I usually always coach the 10u adv division, being the youngest. But she took it all on herself and did a GREAT JOB! Technically, she went an undefeated 3-0 at Sectionals, with 3 crushing wins. And I went 0-1 with the 10u Munchkins lol. She did an awesome job. I couldn't ask for a better assistant/wife. Side note: Being a nurse, you can always count on her to be CPR certified! haha
